Raise your hand if you hate college bookstores!

So currently I am a full time student pursing my degree as a double major in computer science and mathematics.  it can be a bit of a bear at times but I love a challenge.  One of my biggest complaints is how overpriced books are at the college bookstore, and how they give you 1/16 of the purchase price when you sell it back.  To  my delight I was ecstatic when I found I could rent textbooks for 60% off on my ipad!  Yet of all of these options my FAVORITE is when I find a PDF version of a book for FREE!  I thought I would share the wealth, below in 7 parts is the book for Math 124.

For those in Math 124 yes there are 7 parts to the book, check back this afternoon 7/3/12 for the remaining parts.

My favorite knitting machine

Before I stepped up to my Knit King Compuknit III my very first knitting machine was the Bond America Ultimate Sweater Machine.  I have to say I absolutely love my USM, I use it for many of my projects.  It's easy to use, basic, no special parts to break, and you can use almost any type of yarn with it (fingering to bulky).  You can make a wide arrange of projects from scarves, blankets, shawls, socks, hats, and yes even sweaters.  If you are thinking of starting up with a knitting machine I highly recommend the Ultimate Sweater Machine as a great starter.

We're finally here!

It's Official!

Well it has been a long time coming but I have finally taken the steps to be an entrepreneur.  In all my life I never thought I would own my own business.  Both of my parents were civil servants, my dad being a highly decorated police officer and my mother being a supervisor at the city of Orange.  They have always supported my endeavors and allowed me to live to my fullest potential.  Growing up I was not very creative at all, I had trouble drawing stick figures!  I finally found an outlet in school which was creative writing and the study of various literature. I always did crochet projects on the side but as I have said to many of my friends for many years I only excelled in squares and rectangles.  In my early twenties I discovered knitting and was amazed at the vast array of stitches and patterns that could be created.  A few years later I discovered machine knitting and started with The Ultimate Sweater Machine (which is still my favorite machine next to my 4 electronic machines) and my knitting went to a whole new level.  I currently belong to two guilds, The High Tide Purlers, a hand knitting guild and The Machine Knitters Guild of San Diego.  I love both of my guilds they are filled with talent and creativity that continues to inspire me to challenge myself.  I love my life and I love to knit and I hope that it shows in my creations.  Currently I teach machine knitting, traditional knitting, continental knitting, Portuguese knitting and crochet at Micheal's and I absolutely love it.  If you have questions on a project or need advice on finishing please feel free to message me I love to share my knowledge.  Please feel free to support us by visiting   Custom Designer Knits on Etsy   and be sure to like us on Facebook  Custom Designer Knits facebook
